Building a Society Where Every Age Matters.

DRES RRTC connects senior citizen welfare, active ageing and community development across Uttarakhand, with AYUVA as its dedicated Senior Citizen Welfare Wing.

Our mandate

A regional centre for learning, welfare and community development

DRES RRTC is the Regional Resource Training Centre of DRES in Uttarakhand. It works on senior citizen welfare, active ageing, training and capacity building, research, awareness and social empowerment, bringing these strands into one conversation about later life.

Our work is shaped by the communities we serve. We share what is known, make room for local knowledge, and build programmes with older residents, caregivers and district partners rather than for them.

Six focus areas

Where our work concentrates

Six areas structure our programmes, training and partnerships across Uttarakhand.

Senior Citizen Welfare

Welfare support and services that keep older residents connected, secure and included in community life.

Active Ageing

Programmes that support physical, social and mental wellbeing across the later years.

Training & Capacity Building

Structured training for facilitators, caregivers and institutional staff working in ageing.

Awareness & Advocacy

Public awareness on senior citizen rights and the everyday dignity of older people.

Senior Citizen Welfare Wing

Ageing with Dignity, Living with Purpose.

AYUVA is the dedicated senior welfare wing of DRES RRTC. Celebrating Age. Preserving Dignity. Enriching Lives. Its work spans healthy ageing, social inclusion, senior citizen rights, caregiver awareness, intergenerational engagement, digital inclusion and community welfare.

Mountain and foothill communities, district by district

Our field activities reach hill and foothill settlements where ageing, access and community life meet. Each district brings its own local knowledge, and our programmes are shaped to fit it.
